1995 Canadian U19 Squad
In 1995, Canada sent its first U-19 Team to the IFWLA World Championships in Haverford, PA. Canada's fourth place finish after round robin play earned them a birth in the bronze medal final, where the gritty Canadians mounted not one, but two come-backs to stay alive. The game lasted more than 2 hours, but 1 minute and 47 seconds into the second overtime period, a classic English cross-post pass and quick stick gave them the narrow victory.
The loss was heartbreaking, but the accomplishment was significant, and the Canadians had left their mark!
